Community Information

For many families, the need for a safe and healthy living environment can be great, especially when your income is limited. Affordable units in an unsubsidized moderate rental housing program are available to those families with low to moderate household incomes.

The Seymour Housing Authority maintains three residential areas in Seymour: Chamberlin Road, Brothers Court, and Seymour Avenue. Chamberlin Road offers a variety of one story single family houses, two story single family houses, two story duplexes, and two story row houses. a variety of one and two level units. Seymour Avenue is comprised of one story single family units. Brothers Court consists of two story duplexes. The units feature quality hardwood and tile floors, kitchen cabinets, and bathroom vanities. There are a limited number of completely handicapped accessible dwelling units.

All residential areas have active tenant associations and block watches whose mission is to maintain a safe living environment in our neighborhoods.
